Hydrogen: Terrace Wall™

Our technology has been selected for more than 120 hydrogen and synthesis gas plants worldwide, with a total installed capacity of more than 3.5 million Nm3/h of hydrogen. We have a wide experience base, with feedstocks ranging from natural gas to naphtha, and plant capacities ranging in size from 3,000 to over 200,000 Nm3/h.

Natural gas: VESTA

VESTA enables the decarbonisation of natural gas production by exploiting renewable resources with three alternative process schemes to reduce dependency on fossil fuels and meet environmental targets.

This unique, once-through methanation technology differentiates itself from other methanation methods due to its full flexibility to balance both capital and operative expenditures, and the adaptation of any source of syngas, such as coal, biomass or waste gasification, biogas upgrading and power-to-gas application.

Delayed coking: SYDEC^SM Delayed Coking Technology

Our selective-yield delayed coking technology (SYDEC^SM) is the leading method for residue upgrading for zero-fuel oil production. It provides refiners with the flexibility to utilise a variety of residues in their cokers to achieve zero fuel oil production and support energy transition objectives.

Plastics waste processing: SYDEC^SMCircular

We provide technology and supply equipment to co-process plastic waste in delayed coking units to future-proof existing assets, enabling the smooth transition of traditional refineries to support closing the loop on plastics.

SYDEC^SM Circular increases annual production and improves unit economics by producing high value circular products to reduce plastic waste in the environment.

This allows a reduction of overall carbon footprint of plastic products. Our SYDEC ^SM technology portfolio includes state-of-the-art equipment that has beenproven in similar applications and follows a modular design, standardized capacity approach which enables a quick drop in and a enables a ‘plug and play’ installation in existing facilities.

Solvent deasphalting

We help to debottleneck existing residue conversion units and significantly improve residue upgrading efficiency with our proven solvent de-asphalting (SDA) technology.

This technology unlocks a significant increase in liquid yields and refinery margins, boost residue conversion and reduce utility consumption reducing overall carbon footprint.

Visbreaking

Our heritage in thermal processing dates back to the 1950s and we are proud to be able to offer a wide range of experience to our clients. Our unparalleled experience in thermal cracking heaters combined with our in-house proprietary design for both coil and soaker type visbreakers provides high reliability and run-length.

Sulphur recovery

Our sulfur technology is continually updated and improved to ensure the highest reliability and recovery efficiency while incorporating many features that improve plant safety, lower maintenance costs, improve energy efficiency and simplify operations. Our proprietary acid gas burner has a track record of installation around the world since 1990.

The technology unlocks high-efficiency overall sulphur recovery by up to 99.99%, meeting the most restrictive emissions standards and ground-level SO2 concentration limits.
